Seed Collecting - Tomatoes

Saturday, September 18

12:00pm - 2:00pm

$5/members & $10/non-members

Often a favorite among home gardeners and CSA members alike, tomatoes are the ubiquitous summer fruit. Learn how easy it is to save your own seed.

With hundreds (or thousands!) of heirloom varieties available, seed saving is a wonderful way to preserve and protect these beauties and then share them with others!

In the process of saving the seed, we'll use the flesh of the tomatoes, combined with our own peppers, onions, and cilantro to make a delicious salsa. The delight of saving tomato seed is that you can then eat the tomato!

Limited to 15 individuals. Adults only. Please call 860-844-8616 to register.
